FA Cup Fifth Round Tips

Sponsored by Premier Punt

As we have a whole week to go before game week 27 starts we thought we would turn our hand to taking a look at the fifth round of the FA Cup. No Friday night action this time round means that the action starts at 12.45pm on Saturday 20th February and we take a look at the best opportunities to make a little cash with some top betting tips for the FA Cup and we are celebrating by offering you a free £50 bet courtesy of Ladbrokes. Just use promo code F50 when signing up here.

Shrewsbury Vs. Man Utd

The FA Cup usually throws up a few surprises and the tie that is perhaps most likely to throw up a shock is at Shrewsbury as they prepare for the visit of Manchester United. Shrewsbury can be backed to win that game of odds of 7/1 - not bad considering United go there off the back of a difficult trip to Denmark in the Europa League (a game which they lost) and with an injury concern over David De Gea who limped off in the pre match warm up on Thursday evening and of course the injury to Wayne Rooney adding to United's injury woes it is perfectly feasible that they could crash out at the hands of League One strugglers Shrewsbury.

Chelsea Vs. Man City

The tie of the round is at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea play hosts to Manchester City in what should be an enthralling encounter. Chelsea have seen some improved form of late but City will be dangerous and have performed better over the course of this season. Although City do not travel as well as they perform at home it is very surprising to see them at a massive price of 3/1 with Ladbrokes and that is our tip out of the Sunday games.

Man City ran out comfortable winners when they hosted Chelsea in August and they will have the confidence going in to this game. A lot will centre around the teams that the respective managers put out but if it is a head to head with both teams playing their strongest sides it could go either way - so opting for the best odds on offer makes sense. Not a big wager, but a good little punt. Manuel Pellegrini has come and said that he will play a weakened side due to the timing of the game and their Champions League game but I still fancy City to get a result here.

Bet of the Weekend

The best bet of the weekend has to come at Bournemouth as Everton head to the south coast as they look to bounce back after defeat to WBA following three wins on the bounce. Tony Pulis did a number on Roberto Martinez in the league last weekend but prior to that, Everton had won their previous 3 games by a scoreline of 3-0.

Bournemouth and Everton played out a thrilling 3-3 draw earlier in the season and we are backing Bournemouth to score, but Everton are likely to run out victorious in this encounter and exact revenge for the way they cruelly lost the win last time they visited in the dying seconds. Our bet of the weekend will return £216 off a £50 bet!

The FA Cup Accumulator Tip

Considering an accumulator this weekend? It is hard enough predicting league games, but predicting an FA Cup accumulator is even more difficult and it pays to be unpredictable. We have used our own knowledge, skill and also a bit of general punt-i-ness in putting together this 5 game FA Cup acca. From Friday to Sunday Ladbrokes offer a money back free bet if one team lets you down which gives you much less chance of losing your money.

The acca is a small wager compared to the others so here we go:

Watford Vs. Leeds - Watford to win

Bournemouth Vs. Everton - Everton to win

Spurs Vs. Crystal Palace - Spurs to win

Arsenal Vs. Hull City - Arsenal to win

Blackburn Vs. West Ham - Draw

[button link="" color="orange"] Place your acca bet here at odds of almost 29/1 and get your money back if one team lets you down.[/button]

This returns at odds of almost 29/1 meaning a £10 wager returns a massive £304.62.

Use your free £50 bet and it returns £1523.08
