Fantasy Premier League - Week 35 Tips

Week 35 is an absolute barnstormer of a week in the FPL, with some really hot fixtures coming up. The pick of the lot is the North London derby coming up on Sunday evening that sees an in form Spurs invite Arsenal  in a game that will see Tottenham as the strongest favourites they've been for years. Apart from that there are plenty of fantasy favourable match ups, with Manchester United having a good home game, and City having a good away game to Middlesbrough.

Free competition!

We thought we'd inject a bit of fun into this week and have a little picking competition. It's going to be really simple and lots of fun. Simply comment below with your top tip for the highest scoring player available for £5 or less before kickoff of the 3pm fixtures. In terms of prizes:

If a non-member wins: 1 year membership worth £12

If a member wins: £20 Amazon gift card (gotta treat our members right!)

Please note if more than one person mentions a player then we'll split the prize, so best to have a check and choose someone unique.

Good luck!!

5 Players You Need This Week

Romelu Lukaku

Despite getting only 8 points over his last 2 games, Lukaku has now shot up to position 2 overall in fantasy points for the season, behind only Sanchez. Though it was disappointing he didn't score against West Ham, it's not the easiest fixture and he can't be expecting to score every single game. It may seem unusual for him to be a 'must start' player when taking on Chelsea, but his form is so good that we make him likely to score against anyone at home, even Chelsea's impressive defense. For us he remains a must start.

Dele Alli

Not many would have an issue with us calling Alli the breakthrough player of the year. Apart from ripping it apart in fantasy, he's also looked absolutely wonderful in controlling the game. His last 4 games have seen a steady decline in fantasy points (12,8,6,3), but we don't see it as the sign of a new long term pattern. If there was a perfect game to get back on track then the North London derby would be it, and we'd be very surprised were he not to chip in with a goal or assist in this one.

Eden Hazard

Hazard has slowly become one of the hottest fantasy players in football having scored 4 goals in his last 4 games. This is the first time we've made him a must-play, and while it was helped by top players like Ibrahimovic being unavailable, he does deserve it in his own right. This week he takes on Everton away, and while there are certainly easier fixtures it's not enough to give us reason to believe his scoring streak is anywhere near over.

Harry Kane

Though not always keen to put two players from the same team in our top 5, we do very much fancy Kane to grab a goal against Arsenal. Despite not getting a goal against Palace last week, he's looked very sharp on the field since coming back from injury. In week 33 he grabbed a goal and an assist against a solid Bournemouth side. Although Arsenal are (still) a decent side, they do leak goals and it's going to be a fixture Kane will be desperate to score in.

Sergio Agüero

What with a game against Middlesbrough, someone from Man City had to make the cut, and there's no better option than Agüero. Though this is being written before the Manchester derby, his scoring streak is at an incredible 5 in a row before that. We think it may well be 6 in a row by the time many people read this, but even if not he should do the business against a struggling Middlesbrough.

Ward-Prowse, 4 goals and 4 assists, played two top teams in his last games so is due a decent game now especially against a weak Middlesbrough side. 5.0m
