FPL Gameweek 34 Captain Picks
We love a double gameweek and gameweek 34 promises a double fixture for no less than 4 Premier League teams and we have a fully featured article looking at the players from those teams here.

We briefly touched on the FPL GW34 captain pick in that article but let’s take a look at the full spectrum of players here and our top 3 captain picks for this week. With only 5 gameweeks left (sob sob) the decision for who to pick as captain has never been more difficult (do we say that every week?)
Eden Hazard – Number One Captain Pick
With games against Arsenal and Leicester City this week you have double the chance for massive points from the Belgian star and as my mate Poultski told me in the gym today Hazard has been the most consistent player in the Premier League over the last 6 weeks. If you look further back, the last time Hazard went two games with less than 7 points was January 17th 2015 so the chances are he will come good.
The only niggle is that the Arsenal game will probably be very defensive but he is the star man so if anyone will step up it will be him. If this had been last season then Hazard would not have been the number one pick but this term he has added that consistency to his game and more importantly he has improved his away form considerably.
There is no doubt that Hazard will be the most selected captain for gameweek 34 so if you need to catch up your league rivals then you might want to take a risk and look elsewhere, however if it is tight and you can’t afford to lose ground then he has to be your captain pick for GW34.
Jordan Henderson – The Alternative Number One Captain Pick
Another double gameweek player and the Liverpool form player of the moment is our alternative selection for captain. Similar to Hazard, he has been the picture of consistency and he has not gone 2 games with less than 8 points since 22nd February.
Henderson has become a key player for The Reds and with Henderson on penalties and lots of set pieces he has serious potential for points with games against WBA and Hull City.
If you are chasing a leader then Henderson is the man to go for captaincy this week.
Ivanovic – The Clean Sheet Captain
This may not be a popular selection but Chelsea defenders should be in demand this week with back to back 1-0 victories in the last two games. Ivanovic has popped up with a few goals this season as is the norm the veteran Chelsea full back and when Chelsea need to get the job done they usually start with a clean sheet. Added to this, the potential for a assists and goals (particularly in the Leicester game) Ivanovic could reward the brave. Two clean sheets should return at least 24 points as captain and this is a clear possibility.
If you fancy Chelsea to be shutting up shop then he could be your pick – if you don’t have the money to splash on the FPL’s top defensive points scorer then you could look at Azpilicueta at £1.6m less but don’t expect a goal for that price.
