The Podcast Team: Game Week 11
For the first time in Fantasy Football Tips history our podcast was recorded this week with Quigliano and Mills in separate locations. Mills suggested that this might be because Quigliano’s ego is too big to fit in the studio following yet another round of prophecy-like predictions giving a big shout out to Harry Kane on last week’s show – he duely stepped up and rewarded our resident tipster with a hat-trick… if only we had put him in our podcast team we might not have seen our record low points return! Game week 10 did see lower scores than the previous two game weeks with the average rocking in at 42 points but the fixtures were tough and we said this before the round started – GW11 on the other provides plenty of opportunities for points scoring with some interesting captain options to boot. You can listen to the Game Week 11 Podcast using the player below or head to iTunes or YouTube if you like to listen there.
The Garry of the Week
Last week’s Jamie Vardy shout was a popular one and he popped up with a goal to reward the podcast faithful, but with WBA away this week he will have a much tougher time and so Quigliano has opted for Wilfried Bony this weekend as the guaranteed performer. Man City take on a Norwich City side who have shown glimmers of promise this season but the 6-2 defeat to Newcastle United is hard to erase from the memory banks and City could blow them away this weekend – with no Aguero, Bony could be the one to prosper.
Xabi Alonso of the Week
The Xabi “Long Shot” Alonso of the week this week goes to Troy Deeney who broke his duck in GW10 and Quigliano prefers him to Ighalo who has scored more goals this season and chipped in with a few assists. At just £5.1m and 2.2% ownership he offers good differential potential and they take on over-achieving West Ham this weekend. For the full justification listen to the podcast.
The Delia Smith Award – “Where are you?”
The Game Week 11 Delia award goes to Xherdan Shaqiri who has only completed more than 59 minutes of football in one of the last 4 weeks and despite a lot of excitement around him at the start of the season, looks to be fading away. Quigliano has given him the Delia award this week to try and give him the proverbial kick up the backside – something that most of the Stoke City side could do with.
This weeks side tips go out to the following players: Kevin De Bruyne – Good 2 fixtures coming up and good form Mane – Good fixture Pelle – Good fixture Harry Kane – back in form Eriksen – form and fixture To hear the full reasoning behind the side tips then listen to the podcast for all of this and much more.
We have much higher hopes for the podcast team this weekend and it looks like being just one change for us. KDB will be the player coming in for Eden Hazard who we have now completely lost our patience with. We will be making the change towards the end of the week just in case of injuries picked up in the League Cup this week.
