FPL Game Week 12 Podcast Tips

Sponsored by Premier Punt

This week’s podcast featured JP for the second time this season and he brought his beard with him which got the banter flowing. Luckily, there were also plenty of game week 12 tips being banded about too as Quigliano looked to recover from an uncharacteristically poor week last time out.

The podcast team itself is in disarray with Gomez and Targett still in there (albeit on the bench) and with no Mahrez or Vardy it has been a tough old slog.

Our Game Week 12 Team - Captain TBA

The obvious transfer for us so far has been bringing Vardy in with Sakho making way, but there is talk in the camp of a potential -4 hit and dropping either Bellerin or Gomez as we will have only two defenders playing now Bellerin has pretty much been ruled out by Wenger.

FPL Podcast Tips

Quigliano questioned the faith of his followers this week and still believes that those that follow him will be keeping faith in his selections. If you don’t have time to listen to the podcast and want pure tippage over the mix of banter and tips that you will find on the podcast then here are most of the tips in one neat little package…

The Garry of the Week: Riyad Mahrez

Despite Quigliano not owning the current top points scorer in FPL he has finally had to give in and acknowledge the brilliance of Mahrez this season. With another 2 goals last week and taking on a potentially easier defence this week with a home fixture against Watford, Mahrez is the man to back according to Quigliano. JP suggested that Vardy was the man to go for but Big Q says Mahrez will bag the points this week. Interestingly, 79% of you on Twitter also say that Mahrez will outscore Bony in GW12.

Xabi Alonso of the Week: Philipe Coutinho

Coutinho showed his class against Chelsea last weekend and Quigliano (a long time fan of the Brazilian) is calling him out to do it again this weekend against Palace. It could be argued that it isn’t such a long shot but there has been no consistency from the Liverpool playmaker this season so the Xabi shout is warranted.

Delia of the Week: Ross Barkley

The Delia Award this week goes to Ross Barkly and Quigliano is asking ‘Where were you?” when Everton scored 6 goals against Sunderland! Not so much as an assist despite playing well in the game and we would like to see some faith repaid in his backers this week. Everton take on West Ham this week who will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Wilfried Bony – Large backside but a good chance of a goal.

Deulofeo – Great assist potential

Bertrand – Clean sheet and assist potential

Vardy – Good captain shout from JP

Nice one guys. Its being a struggle for me on who to make my captain, KDB, Pelle, Vardy or Mahrez? What are your thoughts about my team, can’t take out Bellerin as I’ve already done Darmian > Van Dijk and Sanchez > Ozil for a hit before the news of Bellerin popped up, it means I have to pray for a goalless game between West Brom and ManU so Dawson can give me joy.

Hi Guys. Great stuff as usual.

Cant figure out who to sub this week for my front 8. So I have decided to do the bench boost lol.

Also am I strange in thinking of giving the arm band to Wijnaldum this week?

Dawson may well come good the way United have been playing. Captain Mahrez is what we are thinking.

No, makes perfect sense as the differential and good fixture, but Vardy is your best bet… Ighalo good choice too but concerns whether he will start.
