Game Week 22 Captain Poll
Game Week 22 Captain Poll - With £490 worth of prizes up for grabs!
In the interests of keeping things interesting we thought we would try something a little different this week and test the thoughts of the masses against the thoughts of the mass-ter (insert own joke).
We will be bringing you our game week 22 captain choice later this week but we thought it would be a bit of fun to go head to head and see if you lot could outdo us in a captain pick head to head showdown – with you guys getting first draw.
So here’s the deal – we will give you 6 options for captain this week. All you have to do is select one – we will even give you our opinion on the player before you choose. Then we will pick our number one pick later this week – if the one that the masses voted for outperforms ours then 10 lucky punters will win a lifetime premium membership worth £49 each (that’s £490 worth of prizes!) and all of you will win bragging rights for the week.
The GW22 Captain Choices
The fixture could hardly be more tempting with a home game against Burnley but with the niggling ankle injury hanging over the Frenchman’s head could it be enough to make punters wary of giving him the armband. Should he start, surely he will return at least another goal for FPL managers!
Sanchez looked revived last week at Swansea and if Giroud doesn’t play then he could get the nod up front ahead of Perez. Sanchez has the pedigree to run riot in this game but a well organised Burnley rearguard could shut the Gunners out from too many goals.
A tough game going to the Etihad but given that he didn’t play in the 2-0 win that Spurs enjoyed over Pep’s boys there could be even more to come in the return leg of this fixture for Spurs. City were shockingly poor at the back against Everton and if Spurs can get in to them then this could be another bad day for Man City and Harry Kane could be the one to profit of the back of his impressive hat-trick last week.
Diego Costa has been on the back pages for all the wrong reasons this week but he could be set to put his recent spat with Antonio Conte behind him this week and he would surely relish the chance to go up against a Hull side (who were better under new management last weekend) that could struggle to keep up with Chelsea at the Bridge. Risky but possibly very rewarding!
The safer option for Chelsea and again an option that could well return some big points. Hazard will get plenty of freedom in this game and will quite possibly be one of the top GW22 picks.
Liverpool have to get back to winning ways and this is the perfect fixture in which to do it. They should have their Brazilian magician back in the starting 11 for this game and he could be ready to pull all the strings against a Swansea side that looks destined for the Championship next season.
Don’t agree with any of these – there are some other picks such as Ibrahimovic who could perform well – this option will not count in the competition though.
