Game Week 27 Captain Picks

Game Week 27 Captain Picks

Every team is back in action this weekend, which really opens up  the captain debate. Weeks like this can be particularly tough to predict and they present many dilemmas. For example, is it better to take a captain from a big home favourite (like Man Utd vs Bournemouth) or from a game likely to develop into a goal fest between evenly matched teams (think Liverpool vs Arsenal).

The truth is, there is no simple answer, and a balance must be struck. One thing's for sure - the deeper the season gets the more important these decisions get. Our #1 pick as always is only for our members, but we've got three solid picks this week, and you'll want to be on them. Don't forget, our look at gameweek 27 was out a couple of days ago and you can check it out here.

GW27 Captain Pick No. 3: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Sometimes fantasy football is complicated, and sometimes it's oh so simple. Ibrahimovic at home to Bournemouth is one of the simple ones. Every time he's on the ball he looks set to score or assist and if you're starting him as captain you'll be doing so with a lot of enthusiasm this week. Even though Bournemouth are nowhere near as poor as people expected them to be this week, you can still happily expect Utd to score 3 or 4 goals, and it would be surprising to say the least if none of that action belonged to Zlatan.

GW27 Captain Pick No. 2: Harry Kane

Honestly, if it wasn't for a special reason noted for our #1 pick, Harry Kane would have been an easy #1, and he really should do well in this game. On a one game basis, Kane would be an easy #1 pick this week after his sensational play last week and his goal scoring form in general.

Of course that's not to say we're guaranteeing another Kane hat-trick. We are saying, however that this game represents a good opportunity to keep his insane goal scoring streak alive (6 in last 3 games), and Everton are not going to enjoy dealing with Kane at White Heart Lane, that's for sure.
