Game Week 27 Captain Tips
Game Week 27 Captain Picks
Sponsored by Premier Punt
Despite gameweek 27 being hit fixture wise by the Capital One Cup Final there are still a number of mouthwatering games for Fantasy Premier League managers to get their chops around. In fact, with Leicester hosting Norwich, West Ham taking on Sunderland at Upton Park and Spurs playing host to Swansea, there is an array of attractive captain choices for game week 27. Some managers will also have their eyes on the Stoke Vs. Aston Villa match whilst Ighalo and Deeney will also be is some people’s thoughts as Watford take on struggling Bournemouth at home.
We have selected three captain picks for GW27 and they are rated in ascending order of preference, number one of course being the top pick. Some people ask us why we put more than one pick and it is of course because the chances are that managers will have one of the three choice – we suggest you simply opt for the highest of our choices that is in your team.
GW27 Captain Pick No. 3: Harry Kane
Harry Kane has proved his critics wrong this season and is amongst a throng of attacking English talent that is sure to make it’s way to the Euro’s this June. 5 goals in his last 5 games is fantastic form in the Premier League and their aren’t many players that can match that level of current form. A broken nose that sees him miss the match against Fiorentina is not enough to force him out of Sunday’s clash with Swansea according to his manager.
The only negative here is that Swansea have improved defensively under their new tutelage and have not conceded more than one goal in a game for the last 5 matches (since they conceded 4 at home to Sunderland). Spurs certainly have the firepower to take Swansea down a peg or two here and with a serious title bid fully in motion at White Hart Lane these days I expect to see a very attacking Spurs team score 2 or more to beat the Swans.
GW27 Captain Pick No. 2: Dimitri Payet
Payet has been the star performer for West Ham this season and looks like one of the bargains of the season in last summer’s transfer window. Still available for £8.3m he is now keeping himself in good company at that FPL price tag but he is good value for it at the moment with a goal an assist in his last game to give his form a timely boost after 4 blanks in a row that had tested the resolve of his biggest fans.
Sunderland have been much improved but still have a massively uphill task if they are to escape the relegation dog fight they currently find themselves in. Payet scored against the Black Cats in the reverse fixture back in October and a goal or an assist or maybe both could be on the cards again here. If you don’t have our number one captain tip then I would suggest you go for Payet.
