Game Week 28 Captain Picks

The gameweek 28 captain is a tougher call than usual this week due to the unpredictable nature of squad rotation when there are three games being played in one week. This brings with it the important vice captain choice meaning that you want your vice captain to be a pretty much nailed on starter in GW28. The members captain picks article will not only give you our number one captain choice who is pretty much definitely going to play, but will also give you 3 good vice captain choices. If you haven’t yet made the best FPL investment that money can buy (and it’s pretty low cost too) then why not use this promo code to save yourself another 20% off the cost – The code is FFT20 and it expires once GW28 starts.

Anyway, that’s enough self promotion. Let’s take a look at this week’s tips…

GW28 Captain Choice No 3: Mesut Ozil

Ozil has been one of the standout performers of the season so far and looks set to have a good end to the season and will be eyeing success in the Euro’s in the Summer too. Another goal and an assist against Man Utd reminded us as to why he should be in your team over Alexis Sanchez who is still working his way back to full match sharpness.

Swansea had a very tough game on Sunday against Spurs and came out of it with nothing. Although the same can be said for Arsenal, they have more than enough fire power to down the Swans at the Emirates and Ozil is the main threat. The only downside to choosing Ozil is that he could be rested for the crucial weekend game against Spurs – a match that could well decide the league. Then again, if Arsenal were to lose to Swansea then they could find themselves 6 points adrift – which would be calamitous. A tough call which means your vice captain is key.

GW28 Captain Choice No. 2: Jamie Vardy

It is almost impossible to think that Jamie Vardy would be rested for the visit of West Bromwich Albion and whilst I don’t foresee Leicester hammering Tony Pulis’ side here there could be a couple of goals in it for the Foxes. Both of these teams won in very different fashion at the weekend, but Leicester have everything to play for against a West Brom side that is all but safe in the Premier League for another season.

The reverse fixture finished 3-2 to Leicester and Vardy scored that day and if you have the Englishman in your side I would suggest he is a very safe bet to play and a decent chance to score – I like that sort of predictability in what has been the most unpredictable season.
