Game Week 30 Tips – Why you cannot play the early transfer
Game Week 30 Tips: Why You Must Avoid The Early Transfer
Sponsored by Premier Punt
Well that was an exciting game week 29 wasn’t it? Not only did we manage 4 goals and an assist between our 3 captain picks last week but we also had 2 penalty misses to add to the confused emotions that we were feeling at the end of a tempestuous Saturday! If ever there was a weekend to promote everything that is brilliant about the Premier League and Fantasy Premier League for that matter, then surely that was it!
What’s more, many of our Premium Members have been in touch to thank us for helping them with their team selection following some real differential victories that saw many of them achieve close to 100 points in GW29. Anyway, enough of the gloating, let’s get on with this important gameweek 30 tips message.
It’s not Easter yet so don’t count your chickens…
Currently we have 6 fixtures and 12 teams featuring in GW30 but that is subject to change should Arsenal beat Hull City in their FA Cup replay at the KC Stadium on Tuesday evening. That would wipe out the Arsneal Vs. West Brom fixture in game week 30 leaving us with just half of the Premier League sides to play next weekend.
The simple and clear advice from us at this point this week is to avoid any early transfer unless you have a number of players already not playing next week.
If Arsenal do go through then the only player you might wish to carry as a passenger is Mesut Ozil due to his meteoric price rise this season. Stick him on your subs bench and keep him for the remainder of the season. Bellerin also comes in to that train of thought but we will cross that bridge when we come to it – for now you need to sit tight!
Initial Game Week 30 Thoughts
Whilst Norwich City have still not improved their results much they have certainly cleaned up at the back and it will be a good test for Man City as they travel to Carrow Road. Our must have player for last week David Silva and our captain pick Sergio Aguero did not disappoint in GW29 (penalty misses aside) and it could be more of the same this week. Man City don’t play in the Champions League until the week after next so they should be naming a full strength side as they look to continue their title surge which needs an almost faultless run now.
Spurs head to hapless Aston Villa whose gallant first half display against City was short lived a will not be remembered following a second half collapse. Spurs looked good against Arsenal and if they start this game in the same vein as they did at the Lane on Saturday I expect them to defeat Villa comfortably. Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are the key men once again.
Leicester City complete the round up as they face an under pressure Newcastle side that conceded 3 goals at home to Bournemouth on Saturday and a further defeat here could signal the end for Steve McClaren. Riyad Mahrez is the key man for Leicester in these final weeks of the season and we are backing him to shine again here and expose the many gaps that Newcastle seem to be leaving.
For now though, take our advice and don’t be tempted to make any changes. Squad depth is at a premium this weekend and any kind of injury (and if Arsenal progress in the cup) could have serious ramifications for your game week 30 efforts!
