Manchester City are enjoying their best every start to a Premier League season and are yet to concede a goal, scoring 11 goals in their first five games with a 100% win rate. Despite the strong start to the season, their talismanic striker and highest valued Fantasy Premier League player Sergio Aguero has only notched one goal and limped off injured against Crystal Palace on Saturday sparking concerns amongst Man City fans and perhaps even more so for the FPL managers who are still waiting to see a return on their £13m+ investment.

The big question on everyone’s lips now is will Aguero be fit to face West Ham in game week 6. We have been here before with Aguero and the will he, won’t he play question and perhaps that is why the Argentine took to Twitter just hours after being seen hobbling away from Selhurst Park to state that the injury wasn’t serious and giving hope to Man City fans that he will be fit to play against Juventus in their Champions League clash this Tuesday.

Kun tweeted:

Thanks everyone for your concern. I got a hard hit and it prevented me from playing more. It doesn't seem to be a serious injury though.

So the hope will be that is more of an impact injury and Aguero will be fit to face The Hammers at the Etihad next weekend. The next question for FPL managers has to be whether or not he is worth sticking with. The knee-jerk reaction of almost 20,000 managers indicates that plenty of managers will be considering dropping their top priced player this week but there is no need to make a rash decision just yet. Unless there is an announcement to state that the injury is much worse than first suspected then we don’t need to worry about price drops just yet.

Having said that, 5 games gives us enough to work on in terms of statistics to analyze whether or not we want to keep such a hefty investment that is currently not returning in terms of points or value.
