Unless you are cut off from civilisation like the man on the moon in the John Lewis TV advert it is hard to escape the fact that it is Black Friday. Everyone is on the hunt for a deal and we are no exception to that, but our deals revolve around FPL and we have a couple of nifty little offerings for you today. We have a gift from us to you which you will need to read on to find out more about, but first let’s talk Fantasy Football Tips.

Of the teams promoted to the Premier League this season, Watford are currently performing best under the guidance of Quique Flores as they sit in 14th place in the league, 7 points clear of the relegation zone. They have scored no more goals than either of their two promoted counterparts but the difference lies in their defence which has been almost twice as tight as Bournemouth, conceding just 14 goals in 13 games – compared to 27 and 24 for Bournemouth and Norwich respectively.

Watford are about to embark on a 3 game long fixture run that is very kind (before they endure 3 very tough fixtures) and it may well be that by opting for some Watford players you may be richly rewarded – at least for the next 3 weeks.

Watford’s next 3 fixtures:

GW14: Aston Villa (a)

GW15: Norwich (h)

GW16: Sunderland (a)

Watford’s success this term has largely been built on solid foundations and this is shown in the performance of their £4.7m goalkeeper Gomes who is currently the second highest points scoring goalkeeper in the league on 62 points. Watford take on Aston Villa in GW14 who have scored the lowest amount in the league this season (only 10 goals in 13 games) and this represents a very good chance for Watford to register another clean sheet. They then take on Norwich City and Sunderland who are both relatively low scoring teams and who teams that Watford will want to take advantage of ahead of a very tough fixture run that then sees them play Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs in the following 3 weeks.

If you are happy with your goalkeeper then Nyom or Craig Cathcart who are both valued at £4.6m represent very good value and the two defenders that you can guarantee will play in these next few games. Just bear in mind that you are only going to want one Watford player in your back line (and we include the GK in that) as you don’t want to be stuck when it comes to the tougher fixtures, but we think there are some huge gains to be made over the next 3 weeks.

If you are looking for a cheap attacker to facilitate a move for the returning Sergio Aguero then you might want to look at Deeney or Ighalo who are both sub £6m and both of whom have contributed this season – this being said, Ighalo has contributed 50% of Watford’s goals so he could be the one to side with.
